So it's this time of the year again....cold temps, not a whole lot of water, and a handful of small playspots. I've found the ultimate cure for the winter timer blues - the Project X! This new design has allowed me to look at the low-water Gauley in a whole new light, and I am stoked to get this new boat on the river any chance I can get!

This past week the US Team Trials took place in beautiful downtown Missoula, Montana. This was a perfect event to be the grande finale for the season; over 10,000 spectators, perfect weather, and enough rainfall to bring the wave up to an awesome level to throw every trick in the book! Continue

Mill Creek is one of our local creeks in Fayetteville, WV. It is a relatively fun, mellow creek compared to Manns, Wolf, Keeneys. That being said, Mill still has some serious rapids with high consequences. In February 2010 Mill got rain while all the other creeks in the area received snowfall, so Mill was the only thing running! Mill is roadside, and perfect for multiple laps. Continue
