"The latest Wavesport ad in UK magazines don't show the Fuse range anymore. Are we due a replacement sometime soon?"

Alan Whitefield replied to jeremy bonnough's discussion What size fuse do you sugest for me
"I'm not sure about the advice from your instructor.  If you are starting to run rivers for the first time I don't think a playboat is a great idea personally. Having said that the Fuse is river play and is actually a very forgiving…"

Ethos weight recommendations

Ok here's a question on the Ethos.  There have been a few questions recently about weight and which size recon, diesel etc but how will this work with the Ethos.  For example the upper weight recommendation for the Nine is 200lb.  Is that to include paddler, gear and enough equipment for a three or four day trip?  Obviously the Ten would be an alternative but then you are maybe sacrificing manoeuvrability and the rivers I'm thinking (Northern Spain) of may be quite tight/technical in nature.See More

Alan Whitefield replied to Dean Jones's discussion Do I need to get a new boat?
"I'm sure the Confluence team will find an expert to answer but from my perspective the Diesel is the one boat where the weight may well make a huge difference round about that medium/large  cut off mark.  I'm talking about UK and…"

Alan Whitefield replied to simon's discussion fuse 64
"Hi Simon.  I think you are finding the big Fuse is looking after you so well you are wondering if it makes it too easy. I felt the same when I first bought mine.  It really is a confidence inspiring boat.  I have just sold mine after…"

Alan Whitefield replied to Robert Brown's discussion Fuse 64
"Fuse 64 is MUCH bigger than ZG 54.  I am 6'2", 91kg and can sit in my 64 for hours in comfort.  I have owned a ZG 54 and could only stay in for about 20 mins before cramping up.  The ZG is a fantastic boat but in my opinion…"

"Great video, loved it. Just wondering why you chose the Habitat and not the Diesel for this run, or was it just what was available?"

"One of our paddling buddies has similar problem being 6'6", about 115 kg (250lb or so) with Size 15 (UK) feet. I removed thigh braces and all padding from my Fuse 64 and he fitted but was in extreme pain very quickly. He has tried the Mons…"

"Aha, mine too did this. When I checked it was clear that the left hand mini cell foam wedge at the side and under the seat was free and doing nothing. I simply stuck it back into position and so far so good."
